By irritating the disturbed mirror image of our self, TRUST subtly draws attention to the self-portraying and self-comparing society and clarifies the discrepancy between self-perception and the perception of others. Due to the cut-out and the associated lack of one’s own reflected image, he deliberately disturbs our routine mirror check-ups and encourages us to trust more in ourselves and to perceive the environment in a more reflective manner.
